Activities and services

Security of reservations for activities that have already begun

An improvement to the booking process has been implemented to prevent the booking of activities whose start time has already passed. This ensures that all bookings are always valid and relevant.

Direct links to multiple products for activities

In the administration module, the activity link features have been improved. Configured links are now added to the old ones. This allows you to keep old links while adding new ones. The display has therefore been improved to reflect these new possibilities, which enhance productivity and the readability of the offer to be configured.

TripAdd integration

For the process, Transport Orchestra offers Trip Add. This is a provider of complementary services to airline tickets. For example, these include access to airport lounges, transfers, eSIM, baggage insurance, flight compensation, etc.

TripAdd – Transport Complementary Services

TripAdd joins Orchestra’s complementary service providers. Services include airport lounges, transfers and baggage insurance. eSIM and flight compensation complete the offering.

Ceetiz – Technical Cancellation Management

Technical cancellation functionality is now available for Ceetiz partner services, enhancing booking management flexibility.

New add-ons available on Disneyland Paris connectivity

New add-ons are available for sale with Disneyland Paris connectivity.

These will be add-ons linked to catering during the guest’s stay, and for luggage storage.

Post-book insurance sales

It is now possible to offer and sell insurance after the purchase of a holiday.

Directly after the purchase has been finalized, a new link is available on the confirmation page and on the confirmation e-mail.

On click, this link redirects to a purchase path allowing the customer or agent to add insurance to the initial file.

The new additional file is added to or linked with the initial file.

An example is shown below on the booking confirmation.

Enriched add-ons take over notions of simple add-ons

As part of the ongoing evolution of activity-related functions, simple add-ons functions are being upgraded with enriched add-ons replacements. The GROUP columns (STD_COMBI_TYPE, STD_COMBI_GROUP_CODE and STD_COMBI_GROUP_LABEL) in the add-ons import model have been removed in favor of the OPTION_CATEGORY column.

Product administration: enhancement of the product sheet with related activities

In the administration module of the platform, it is now possible to view the activities linked to a product in the product sheet.

The “relationship with other offers” section has been enriched with mandatory activities linked to the product.

A new “optional related activities” section has been created to display optional activities linked to the product.

Sending customer name information to GTS source

A technical optimization enables us to better manage activities for the GTS source (from PMS Infor HMS), in particular the sending of company name information.

This enables GTS to distinguish whether the contact is an individual or a structure.

Configuration of the dematerialized gift card reception option

In the booking process, it is now possible to configure the option for sending the dematerialized gift card.

Whereas in the past the purchaser could decide whether to send the e-gift card to himself or to another recipient, it is now possible to remove this option.

By default, the dematerialized gift card will be sent to the buyer’s e-mail address.

Implementation of an add-ons page to the Packages booking process

Add-on services can now be displayed on an intermediate page between the quote page and the contact details page in the Packages booking process.

This solution improves the user experience, lightening the quote page and giving greater visibility to optional activities and services available in the booking, such as menu choices, excursions and other destination activities.

Some of these services may depend on the room choices made on the previous page (quote page).

This feature can be activated via configuration.

Changes in the way dematerialized gift cards are received

The booking process for dematerialized gift cards has evolved. It is now possible, during the reservation process, to select the e-gift card delivery mode. Customers can choose between the following two options:

  • Send the e-gift card to themselves by e-mail, before printing it and offering it to the final recipient.
  • Send the e-card by e-mail directly to the recipient.

The dematerialized gift card is generated automatically from the Advantage module and attached in PDF format to the order confirmation e-mail.

Visibility of the insurance refusal message throughout the booking process

A new message has been added throughout the booking process to explicitly mention the customer’s choice to decline insurance selection.

This change ensures that customers explicitly refuse insurance, and increases the conversion rate for this product line in the booking process.

This feature is activated by default in all booking processes, and can be deactivated via configuration.

Management of activities images in the editorial

As with packages, activities images can now be updated via the activity editorial in the Administration tool.

This makes it possible to select the main activity image to be displayed in the booking process.

We have taken advantage of this evolution to remove the cross-functional editorial for activities and internal flights, in order to simplify the management of activities.

Dematerialized gift cards sales

Distributors can now sell dematerialized, private gift cards on the Orchestra platform.

A dedicated booking process has been set up, enabling a customer to purchase an e-gift card and offer it to a beneficiary, for use on the distributor’s e-commerce website where it was purchased.

When an e-gift card is purchased, an automatic code is generated and emailed to the customer, who can then offer it to the beneficiary of their choice, adding a personalized message.

The e-gift card can then be used in the distributor’s e-commerce booking process, with a possible additional payment if the amount on the e-gift card is insufficient to cover the total cost of the order.

Finally, the distributor can define the validity period of the e-gift card.

Connectivity of the Ceetiz activity source

The Ceetiz activity source has been connected and is now available for distribution via the platform and according to all booking processes (Package and Prepackage, Dynamic Package, Activities and services).
