Customer Accounts – Notifications and Alerts

Email notification in case of data modification:

It is now possible to send an email whenever a user changes their personal data information. This message contains a link to reset the password, in case the user did not make this change in time.

Unusual Login Alert Email:

A notification mechanism in case of unusual connection to the customer account has been implemented.

Functional description:

The various technical information of the user that identifies an unusual connection:

  • IP address
  • City
  • Country
  • Operating system / Browser
  • Device (phone model)
  • Date and time of connection

At each connection of the user to his account and at the time of the creation, this same information is collected and recorded.

The registration is limited to 10 possible connection locations per account.

A record for which no connection has been made for 3 years may be deleted.

If the information collected differs from the previous information recorded (account creation and previous connections), an email is generated to notify the user that an unusual connection has occurred.

The user can then interact in order to reset their password.

Filters in Administration – Removing availability by arrival cities

Client context

In the Administration tool, it is now possible to apply different rules depending on the destination city.

Functional description

In a filter of type “Product”, “Availability” or “Sliding” it is possible to apply the filter according to the destination city.
Until today, only the destination country could be used.
The selection of the city can be made independently of the country. The selection of a country is not mandatory

Use case

Example: In Spain, filter availability for products to Palma but not to Barcelona and Madrid

Solution description:

  • Delete the current “Destinations” block
  • Addition, in the last element of the section “4 – Define the products concerned”, of a new block with a country selection field.
  • Addition of a check during the validation of the form that verifies the consistency of the destinations:
    • It is necessary to forbid the case where you enter a Country + a city of this same Country in the same filter.
Example: Country: France + Cities IATA: Paris (France) is not authorized because if you put the country “France” it includes necessarily all the cities of France, therefore Paris is useless.
In order to avoid any confusion it is preferable to alert and block these cases.
    • Counter-example: Country: Spain + IATA Cities: Paris (France) is correct. We allow the registration. It will filter all Spain, and Paris.

Integration of the TicTacTrip multi-modal transport source

Tictactrip is a land transport ticket comparator. It allows the creation of intermodal combinations to travel across Europe. This source gathers offers from rail and road carriers (bus and carpooling). About a hundred transport companies are partners of Tictactrip, such as Ouibus, Flixbus, Isilines, SNCF or Blablacar. Their offers are analyzed, restructured and combined by the Tictactrip platform, which aims to offer economical and environmentally friendly trips.

This integration has also led to numerous changes in the reservation process.
