IPID compliance and
sending of insurance documents

The Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) is EU legislation that sets out rules on the distribution, transparency and design of insurance products. It requires distributors of non-life insurance products to produce a standardised document for non-life insurance products, known as the IPID.

IPID stands for Insurance Product Information Document, the document that must be issued to customers prior to concluding an insurance contract.

This document can be added as an additional attachment in the confirmation email.

When a booking with insurance is made, it is also possible to send an email with a dynamically-generated PDF document as an attachment.

Car rentals
from Gestour

Optional car rentals can now be booked via Gestour TO. Multiple rentals are possible (limited to the number of adults included). Options for pick-up and drop-off points are also available.

Improvement to
MisterFly connectivity

The Transport processes now include the “culture” field when sending a booking request to MisterFly, making it possible to customise the language used in post-booking communications between the flight provider and the customer.

Connectivity with Ctoutvert

The Secureimmo software used for seasonal property rentals has added Arkiane and SPI as options for sourcing rental products from estate agents.

Indexing robots
in the booking process

A website coding tag is used to tell indexing robots (mostly search engines) whether they need to take notice of certain pages. This tag can, for example, inform a search engine that a page contains dynamic content that is only relevant at the point of generation and that there is no need to process and save its content.

The content of this tag can now be configured for the booking process.

Multi-destination pre-package

We have made changes to the pre-package module, adding the function to create a package that combines multiple accommodation bookings.

It is now possible to create rich packages that offer multiple accommodation bookings by combining internal packages (without transport) and an internal hotel or connected via channel managers.

Some examples of use :

  • Creating a pre-package with several internal packages linked together by a transfer.
  • Creating a pre-package with several hotels linked together by a transfer.

Accommodation names for Campings.com

We have made improvements to the way that accommodation names are managed for the provider Campings.com. In cases where the accommodation name is already filled in, this is the name used. If no accommodation name is entered, we concatenate the type and capacity of the accommodation in order to generate a name automatically.

This allows for a wider variety of accommodation naming options, which in turn enhances the offer.

Managing the distributor yield in Gestour

Distributor yields are now included within bookings in Gestour as separate services to allow for better monitoring, and have been removed from the prices in the “price list”.

Alternative flights, luggage
and information messages with Kuoni

With Kuoni, it is now possible to select alternative flights within the booking process. When flights are available, the travel agent or web user has the option to display more flight options.

Flight selected by default in the booking process and action button to display more flights.

A pop-up flight selection window is then displayed for searching alternative flight options; these flights can be filtered by departure times, departure and arrival airports, airline company, and those with luggage included.

Three- or ten-instalment payment

Following on from Banque Casino’s four-instalment payment option, we have introduced a three-instalment payment and a ten-instalment payment.

Then ten-instalment payment plan works slightly differently to the three- and four-instalment option as it is categorised as consumer credit.

Accordingly, supporting documents are requested on the payment page, and automatic anti-fraud checks are carried out by the payment provider.

When the three-, four- or ten-instalment payment option is selected, a credit score request is sent.

Any post-booking cancellations (including back office) will be in full.

A detailed payment schedule is set out for the ten-instalment payment plan option.

Managing passports with Aon

Within the context of insurance products through connectivity, the passport number of the first person insured can now be sent to Aon.

Simplified interface for
creating insurance products

In order to improve performance for the teams who regularly edit and create insurance products, we have added a configuration that simplifies the interface used for managing internal insurance.

As requested by users, fields that are rarely used can be hidden in order to make the forms shorter and therefore quicker to fill in, with less margin for error.

The fields that can now be hidden in the interface shown below are :

  • Logo
  • Email
  • Insurance policy number
  • “Default insurance” checkbox
  • Themes
  • Options
  • Types
  • Processes
  • Channels

Pictured below is the full interface :

Improved performance
of Front services

Front services are services that manage the product information search process and transmission to the interfaces seen by users.

In terms of displaying products, these services need to access huge volumes of data (very high numbers of products which in turn have very many availabilities) and process it rapidly in order to ensure that the interfaces are quick to use.

The search algorithm for availabilities has been improved in order to reduce the response time and in turn improve the speed of the interfaces.

Increased security for credentials

The display of credentials on the administration tool and the professional B2B tool is now password protected. Credentials remain hidden until an authorised user has entered the correct password.
