Tourist tax payable
locally is now displayed for internal hotels

Why ? So users are informed when booking about the amount of tourist tax they will need to pay once they arrive.

Where ? Entries made in the Orchestra administration tool, ‘hotels’ tab, ‘manage taxes’ action. Within the hotels, dynamic packages and à la carte booking processes, the information will be displayed in a section called ‘taxes not included, to be paid locally’ at the top of the quote page.

How ? Tourist tax can be explained in the form of free text, or in a more structured way by detailing the price per room or pax (adult/child) within the hotel information. The amount can be a set price or a percentage of the price of the room.

More than one tax can be configured. This is for information purposes only, as they will ultimately be paid locally. An explanatory box, on the quote page, indicates to users the total amount of these tourist taxes to be paid.

This information will be included in confirmation emails.

Comparing FLUO insurance

Why ? So that users benefit from personalised diagnostics and can be informed about their insurance options, highlighting what they will be covered for and what they won’t be covered for. Travel agents will have a tool at their disposal to be able to help them argue the benefits, or lack thereof, of taking out additional insurance.

Where ? On the quote page within the booking process.

How ? The Fluo solution has been integrated within the entire bookings process. In a B2C catalogue, it takes the form of a pop-up, which appears whenever the user hasn’t selected insurance.

This pop-up allows users to select their bank and card type. Using this data, combined with their travel quote (destination, price), a comparison table will be displayed. It allows users to compare coverage offered by their existing insurance or bank cards, compared to the insurance offered by the travel agent. Users then have the choice of whether to opt for the insurance on offer or not.

With the B2B solution, the Fluo solution opens in a new page. This page includes a similar comparison table, but with additional information, allowing the travel agent to best advise their customers.

Hotel counter-proposal system

Why ? To offer users alternative hotels when browsing.

Where ? Within the hotels, dynamic packages and à la carte booking processes, with compatible hotel sources.

How ? If the exact hotel requested is not available, a range of other options will be displayed on a page of search results, alongside an explanatory message.

If the exact hotel requested is available, a range of other options will also be displayed with the search results or, if requested, on the hotel form.

By default, the selection of other options will be generated based on the hotel’s city, but wherever possible, by additional means, where the strategy for suggesting other options will be set according to the source.

Multi-source destination criteria
available for the hotels search engine

Why ? So that administrators involved in creating/posting pre-packages or hotels can find the hotels they want to put on sale more easily.

Where ? In the administration tool, ‘hotels’ tab, ‘features’ section of the search engine.

How ? Hotel searches in the administration tool can use several criteria. Destination criteria, which are one of the most important, have been significantly improved in order to cover the individual features of various hotel sources.

The ‘destination’ search field depends on the context of the ‘hotel source’ selected. Automatic completion (‘autocomplete’) will suggest different lists of areas/regions/cities, depending on the source. Furthermore, the list of cities labelled as ‘generic cities’ is compatible with all hotel sources and can therefore be used for multi-source searches.
